go off the deep end

to become so angry or upset that you cannot control your emotions
Sometimes, I think I must live off the deep end. As a matter of a fact, I think for me to go off the deep end might mean I’d actually need to venture into space in order to find a place with a vast enough expanse to qualify as “deep” in comparison to the deepness of the place I reside…. I guess it’s good I’m aware of it, at least. LOL Plus, I am a pretty good swimmer. I can tread water for a while and hold my breath for a really long time.
